Ingredients
- 2–4 Russet potatoes (or Yukon Gold for a creamier texture)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes – Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pat them dry.
- Season the Potatoes – Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
- Preheat the Air Fryer – Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Air Fry the Potatoes – Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Cook for 35-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check for Doneness – Insert a fork or knife into the center; if it slides in easily, the potatoes are done. If not, cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve & Enjoy – Slice open the potatoes, fluff the insides with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Crispier Skin – Cook for an extra 5 minutes if you prefer ultra-crispy skin.
- Smaller Potatoes – Reduce cooking time to 20-25 minutes for baby potatoes.
- Sweet Potatoes – Follow the same method but adjust the time as they may cook slightly faster.
- Storage – Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Reheating – Air fry at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.
- Freezing – Wrap cooled potatoes in foil and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight before reheating.
