Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti (or pasta of choice)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (optional, for extra cheesiness)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water (as needed for consistency)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Before draining, reserve ½ cup of pasta water. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce:
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add Cream & Cheese:
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese (and mozzarella, if using), stirring continuously until melted and smooth.

- Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
- Toss the cooked spaghetti into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water gradually to reach the desired consistency.
