Description

Cherry Cheesecake Dump Cake is an easy and delightful dessert that combines creamy cheesecake, sweet cherry filling, and a golden, buttery cake mix topping. Perfect for any occasion, this simple dump cake requires minimal prep and ingredients, making it ideal for busy days or when you need to impress a crowd. Serve it warm with whipped cream or ice cream for an irresistible treat!

Ingredients

1 can cherry pie filling

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 large egg (room temperature)

1 cup granulated sugar

1 box yellow cake mix

1/2 cup salted butter (cold)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Pour the cherry pie filling into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.

  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, egg, and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth.

  • Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cherry filling. Do not spread it out.

  • Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer.

  • Grate the cold butter over the cake mix for maximum coverage.

  • Bake for 40 minutes or until the filling is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

  • If necessary, melt or slice butter and add it to any dry spots near the end of baking.

  • Let it rest for 15 minutes before serving with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

  • For a variation, swap the cherry pie filling for other fruit fillings such as apple, peach, or blueberry.

  • Use white cake mix for a lighter flavor.

  • Add nuts like pecans or walnuts for added crunch.

  • Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
