Description

Crockpot Kielbasa Bites are the perfect appetizer for any gathering. These bite-sized pieces of smoky kielbasa are slow-cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, making them tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Effortless to prepare, this dish is perfect for game days, holiday parties, or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

2 lbs kielbasa sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces
1 cup barbecue sauce
½ cup honey
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Slice the kielbasa into bite-sized rounds and place them in the crockpot.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  • Pour the sauce over the kielbasa, stirring to coat evenly.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the kielbasa is heated through and coated in the thickened sauce, switch the crockpot to the warm setting for serving.
  • Serve hot with toothpicks as an appetizer or alongside rice or mashed potatoes for a meal.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce.
  • Substitute half of the barbecue sauce with sweet chili or teriyaki sauce for a tangy twist.
  • You can replace honey with maple syrup for a rich, smoky sweetness.
