Description

These Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites are the perfect fusion of crispy, golden-brown wonton wrappers and a rich, creamy cheesecake filling with the burst of fresh strawberry flavor. A great treat for any occasion, these bite-sized delights are sure to be a crowd favorite whether you’re hosting a party or enjoying a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

For the Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

½ tsp vanilla extract

¼ cup strawberry jam or preserves

Fresh strawberries, diced (optional, for extra flavor)

For the Wontons:

2024 wonton wrappers

Water, for sealing edges

Vegetable oil, for frying

For Serving (Optional):

Whipped cream

Extra strawberry jam or sauce

Fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add strawberry jam or diced strawberries for extra flavor if desired.

  • Assemble the Wontons: Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface. Spoon 1 teaspoon of cheesecake filling into the center. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wonton into a triangle or envelope shape, pressing edges firmly to seal.

  • Fry the Wonton Bites: Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the wontons in batches, cooking each side for 1-2 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  • Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm with whipped cream, extra strawberry jam, or fresh strawberry slices

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try using raspberry or mixed berry jam.

  • Add lemon zest to the cheesecake filling for a citrusy twist.

  • For a sweeter alternative, swap the strawberry jam for chocolate, caramel, or Nutella.

  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, place them in an oven at 350°F for 5 minutes to restore their crispiness.
