Description

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

For the sandwiches:

  • 8 slices brioche bread
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for frying)
  • Optional: powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling:
    • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Gently fold in chopped strawberries.
  • Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Spread strawberry jam on 4 slices of brioche bread.
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture on the remaining 4 slices.
    • Combine one jam slice with one cream cheese slice to form a sandwich.
  • Make the Egg Mixture:
    • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
  • Fry the Sandwiches:
    • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
    • Fry each sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Serve:
    • Transfer sandwiches to a plate, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute strawberries with raspberries, blueberries, or bananas for variety.
  • Add Nutella or chocolate spread for a richer flavor.
