Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
For the Hot Honey Sauce:
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (or hot sauce of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for more or less heat)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with cooking spray.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, sriracha sauce, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is warm and well combined (about 3-4 minutes).
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and brush generously with the hot honey sauce.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes to let the sauce caramelize and set.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For extra spice, increase the sriracha or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the hot honey sauce.
- For a milder version, reduce the sriracha and red pepper flakes or omit them for just a sweet honey glaze.
- Use bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts for added flavor and crispiness.
- Add Dijon mustard to the hot honey sauce for a tangy twist.
