Description

Instant Pot oatmeal is a creamy, healthy, and quick breakfast made with simple ingredients like almond milk, oats, and butter. This recipe provides a hands-off approach, perfect for busy mornings. Ready in just 15 minutes, it’s a versatile dish that can be customized with a variety of toppings or mix-ins, whether you’re craving sweet or savory oatmeal. Ideal for families or meal prep!

Ingredients

3 cups water

2 cups almond milk (sweetened or unsweetened)

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

½ teaspoon salt

2 cups old-fashioned oats

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients (water, almond milk, butter, salt, and oats) to the Instant Pot.

  • Stir the ingredients to combine.

  • Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to “sealing.”

  • Select the “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” setting and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.

  • Once cooking is complete, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 5 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.

  • Stir the oatmeal and serve with your favorite toppings, such as fresh fruit, nuts, or maple syrup.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

  • Reheating: Reheat in the microwave with a splash of milk or water to restore creaminess.

  • Toppings: Fresh fruit, nuts, honey, or maple syrup can be added for extra flavor.

  • Savory Option: Try adding sautéed spinach, a fried egg, or hot sauce for a savory twist.
