Description

Indulge in the irresistible flavors of Roasted Brie with Honey, Dried Fruits, and Olives. This gourmet aperitif combines creamy brie, sweet honey, crunchy dried fruits, and briny olives for a mouthwatering appetizer that’s perfect for festive occasions and cozy gatherings. Discover this elegant yet easy-to-make recipe that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

1 whole brie or camembert (about 250300 g)

2 tablespoons of liquid honey

1 handful of dried fruits: almonds, hazelnuts, cashews (or a mixture of your choice)

4 green olives (cut in two or in slices)

1 teaspoon of fresh (or dried) thyme

Freshly ground black pepper

Bread or country bread (cut in slices)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Prepare the Brie: Place the brie in a baking dish or directly on parchment paper. Lightly score the top to help the flavors penetrate.

  3. Add Toppings: Drizzle honey evenly over the brie. Top with dried fruits, sliced olives, fresh thyme, and a sprinkle of black pepper.

  4. Bake: Bake the brie for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and slightly melty. Be cautious not to let it overflow.

  5. Serve: Remove the brie from the oven and serve it hot with slices of toast or crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • Experiment with different dried fruits (apricots, figs, raisins) and nuts (walnuts, pecans, pistachios) for personalized variations.

  • If preferred, swap green olives for kalamata olives or sun-dried tomatoes.

  • Brie can be substituted with camembert for a slight change in flavor.
