Description

Easy Bang Bang Chicken Sliders are a delicious, crispy, and flavorful twist on classic sliders. Tender chicken is coated in a crunchy breading, then drizzled with a creamy and spicy bang bang sauce made from mayo, sriracha, and honey. These sliders are perfect for game days, parties, or casual dinners and are sure to be a crowd favorite with their sweet, spicy, and savory kick.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

1 lb chicken breasts or chicken tenders
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Bang Bang Sauce:

1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust for heat preference)
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
For Assembling:

810 slider buns
Lettuce (optional, for garnish)
Sliced pickles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: If using chicken breasts, cut them into smaller pieces to fit the slider buns. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken: In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, add buttermilk. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat the chicken pieces: Dip each piece into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to make sure the breadcrumbs stick.
  4. Fry the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  5. Make the bang bang sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar until smooth and combined.
  6. Assemble the sliders: Spread a spoonful of bang bang sauce on the bottom half of each slider bun. Place a piece of fried chicken on top, then drizzle with more sauce. Optionally, top with lettuce and pickles for added flavor.
  7. Serve immediately while the chicken is hot and crispy.

Notes

  • For a healthier alternative, grill the chicken instead of frying it.
  • Add sliced tomatoes, red onions, or shredded cabbage for extra crunch.
  • For more spice, increase the sriracha or add fresh chopped chilies to the sauce.
  • Use gluten-free breadcrumbs and flour for a gluten-free option.
