Description

This Sweet Cinnamon Milk Tea is a cozy and aromatic beverage that combines black tea, cinnamon, warm milk, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for relaxing on a chilly day, this easy-to-make drink is versatile and can be customized with different sweeteners, spices, or plant-based milk options.

Ingredients

  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 1½ cups milk (2% recommended, or non-dairy alternatives like almond, oat, soy, or coconut milk)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Boil Water with Cinnamon: In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and cinnamon sticks to a boil over medium heat.
  • Steep Tea: Remove from heat, add black tea bags, cover, and steep for 7 minutes.
  • Heat Milk: While tea steeps, warm the milk in the microwave or stovetop until hot but not boiling.
  • Combine Ingredients: Remove tea bags and cinnamon sticks. Stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  • Add Milk: Pour warmed milk into the tea, stirring gently to combine.
  • Serve: Divide between two cups and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Tea Options: Use green tea, herbal tea, or rooibos for a different flavor profile.
  • Sweetener Variations: Substitute maple syrup with honey, agave nectar, or stevia.
  • Spice Additions: Add nutmeg, cloves, or cardamom for extra warmth.
  • Iced Version: Chill the tea and serve over ice for a refreshing cold drink.
